XRT is Hyundai’s versatile lineup of adventure-ready and, in some cases, trail-ready vehicles. Standard vehicles are designed more for comfort and efficiency while commuting or going on road trips, but the XRT lineup was engineered to be more rugged, more off-road capable—in both aesthetics and functionality. For example, most XRT vehicles have standard HTRAC All Wheel Drive, along with increased ground clearance, roof racks, and a ton more. Not to mention dark alloy wheels, matte black body cladding, grilles, and specific XRT badges.
The 2027 SANTA FE XRT is loaded with a variety of features. It has HTRAC All Wheel Drive and 1.3 inches more ground clearance than the standard SANTA FE (total of 8.3 inches). It also comes with Terrain Mode which allows for easier mobility and maneuverability through muddy, snowy, and rainy conditions. Plus, a tow hitch and the ability to haul up to 4,500 lbs., not to mention the ruggedly designed interior and exterior accents that make SANTA FE XRT look as tough as it is capable.
The 2027 Hyundai IONIQ 5 XRT has a 0.9-inch suspension lift, giving it a total ground clearance of 7 inches.
The biggest difference is the 2027 XRT trim was built with rugged durability in mind while the standard trims are really about refinement and more modern conveniences. For example, SANTA CRUZ XRT has Terrain Mode Select (including Mud, Sand & Snow Modes) which gives added power and traction in tougher conditions. It has a 1,500-lb. increase in towing capacity, for a total of 5,000 lbs. when equipped with trailer brakes, along with a 7-pin connector for more trailer options. The engine is also beefed up on the XRT—it has a 281-hp turbo engine versus the standard 191-hp naturally aspirated engine. Visually speaking, there are XRT-specific features, like 2 red front recovery hooks, front and rear bumper fascias, wider fender cladding, a rugged, wrench-inspired wheel design, as well as darker exterior accents, and even more. Inside, you’ll also find XRT debossed front upper seatbacks, only available on the XRT model.
